No Armor

I love the story from the book “Breakfast with Buddha” by Roland Merullo about the Rimpoche putting a flower petal under a cup and saying that the petal is our basic goodness and the cup is the armor that we have all taken on.  And watching the moon rise he said, “If a person could really see it as it truly is without putting a name between his mind and the image, then that person would have no cup over his goodness – no armor.  That person would not be afraid.  That person could love and could let another person give him love and he could feel the ground he walks on as love and the air he breathes as love.’’

May we have the compassion and the courage to see our armor without judgment so that we can truly see how all of life is made out of LOVE!
