Letting Things Be

There is power of letting things be.

Thoughts, feelings and sensations happen in waves, passing through the vast space that we truly are. As we learn how to be curious about what is happening rather than tightening down around a thought, a feeling or a sensation, (or a compulsion) the wave passes through. It does take time to learn how to do this but it is well worth the effort.

We don’t realize how much suffering we create inside of ourselves and in the world by resisting what is.

You can learn how to do this with physical discomfort. The next time you have a pain…a headache, agitation, too cold or too hot, for a few moments be curious about what is going on and let it be there. You can even say to yourself, Let This Be. As you learn how to be present for yourself in this way transformation occurs.
