Colorado Tragedy

I have been on vacation and just tuned into what happened at the theater in Colorado. My heart goes out to all of the people who were killed and wounded and all of the people in that theater and in the whole complex who knew such fear.

And even though my heart aches for all of them and their families, and even though my own fear of death and violence came to the surface,  I remembered that what I can do is meet my fear in my heart rather than fall into its stories.  So I invite you too to notice what this experience is bringing you inside of you and know that whatever is there is asking to be acknowledged rather than identifying with it.

This is how we will heal our world, one person at a time, one experience at a time where we understand that “What is in the way in our lives IS the way and rather than resisting it we meet it with awareness and mercy.
